Bartlett MArch Architecture Thesis Supervision
I have supervised MArch Architecture theses with final year masters students whose work is concerned with the relationships between architecture, representation, technology and pop culture. Supervised theses have included studies of user-built structures in Minecraft (Marcus Stokton), explorations of early online communities including Geocities (Christopher Delahunt), research into the urban implications of augmented reality video games such as Pokemon GO (Agostino Nickl) and their potential use as design tools, and an analytical project comparing Piranesi's carceri (Matthew Sawyer) to paradoxical modern media spaces.
