Ubiquity
A small test game built in Unity. The game responds to Atkinson and Willis' theory of the 'ludodrome' and how the '24/7' minimarts of Grand Theft Auto are spaces where generic branding and signage create a semiotic space which the player starts to confuse with reality. In Ubiquity the player explores an infinitely repeating urban realm of minimarts and markers, an endless territory of stacked shelves, ultimately venturing into a cereal landscape full of krispy grains.
